The blueprint lines ghost through the portrait like a city grid beneath a face that's seen too much of it. Waits in full gravitas: eyes closed, collar up, the posture of a man who writes songs at 3am and means every word.
 
Text fragments from surrounding vintage collage material complete the composition — "NEW DIRECTIONS / REACHING OUT / would go down the same road again." As if the paper always knew who was coming.
